Helping you on your search for a role within the sports and physical activity sector

Events Officer

Events Officer
£29,000 per annum
Hybrid (Loughborough office 3 days per week)
Fixed term until end of March 2029

We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Events Officer to join our Events Team and help us deliver high-quality events and experiences across the Youth Sport Trust.
Working with colleagues across the organisation, you will coordinate the planning and delivery of a range of events, taking responsibility for designated events as well as supporting the delivery of our flagship events, conferences and camps.

You will co-ordinate event project plans, delegate registration and communications, liaise with venues and suppliers, coordinate event logistics and provide excellent customer service to our delegates, partners and stakeholders. Safeguarding will be an important part of the role, and you will help ensure our events are safe, inclusive and well managed, with appropriate safeguarding and risk management arrangements in place, particularly for events involving children and young people.

This is a varied role where no two events are quite the same. You will need to be highly organised, comfortable managing competing priorities and deadlines, and able to remain calm and solutions-focused when plans change. You will enjoy building relationships, be a team player and be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, suppliers and partners to create a positive experience for everyone attending our events.

We are looking for someone with experience of planning and delivering events in a fast paced environment, excellent organisational and communication skills and strong attention to detail. Experience of working with suppliers, coordinating budgets and using CRM or event management systems would also be valuable.

As this role involves working at events with children and young people, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check. The role involves regular travel across the UK and overnight stays.

Joining the Youth Sport Trust means becoming part of a team that values collaboration, innovation and impact. You will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful national work while benefiting from generous annual leave, a health cash plan, an employee assistance programme and volunteering days.

If you are excited by the opportunity to contribute to a major national events calendar and help schools create high-quality enrichment opportunities for young people, we would love to hear from you.
