Sport and Applied Psychology Lecturer

  • Type: Maternity Cover (Initial 3 weeks, possibility of extension)

  • Salary: Up to £220 per day
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday (flexibility on request)

Join our client’s vibrant academic team as a Sport and Applied Psychology Lecturer! This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to contribute to the dynamic department on a maternity cover basis, with the potential for extension. Ideal for those who are passionate about sports psychology and education.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and informative lectures and seminars in Sport and Applied Psychology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Prepare educational content and lesson plans that meet academic standards.
  • Engage with students to inspire and motivate them in their studies and research.
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students through office hours and scheduled meetings.
  • Assess and evaluate student work, providing constructive feedback to aid in their development.
  • Collaborate with faculty members on curriculum development and academic planning.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and developments in sports psychology to enhance teaching materials.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Sports Psychology, Applied Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Experience in teaching at a higher education level, preferably in sports and applied psychology.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse student groups.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and online teaching platforms.
