Write for the Careers Hub

We publish pieces from practitioners, managers, educators and employers working anywhere in sport and physical activity. You don’t need to be a professional writer, and you don’t need a job title with ‘head of’ in it — you need something useful to say and the experience to back it up.

What we're looking for

  • Practical insight drawn from real experience, not general theory
  • A clear point of view — including ones that challenge the consensus
  • Career-relevant topics: progression, recruitment, workforce, standards, training, inclusion
  • Something a reader can act on or think differently about

What to send

  • A short pitch — two or three sentences on your idea and why it matters now
  • Your name, role and organisation
  • Roughly 600–1,200 words if you already have a draft
  • Any images you have the rights to use, plus a headshot

Pitches are welcome before you write anything. It’s usually the quicker route.

What happens next

  • We review every submission and reply either way
  • Accepted pieces are edited for clarity and house style — you’ll see changes before publication
  • You keep ownership of your words and are credited in full
  • We don’t publish sales content or supplier promotion dressed as insight

Got something the sector should hear?

Send us a short pitch. If it’s useful to people building careers in sport and physical activity, we want to read it.
