Exercise Referral Specialist Instructor - Communities

This is an exciting new opportunity for two Exercise Referral Specialist Instructors (Female- Only) to join the team and play a key role in the delivery of our Specialist Exercise Programmes in the community.

(This is a female only position and is covered by Schedule 9 Part 1 of the Equalities Act 2010.)

Post will include working from a variety of sites.

Requirements of Exercise Referral Specialist Instructor – Communities

Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification accredited by CIMSPA
Significant experience of delivering specialist exercise to people with long term health conditions
Relevant experience of working with ethnic minorities, people from low socio-economic groups and with community engagement
Experience of planning, organising and delivery of activity programmes
Willing to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends where required
Responsibilities of Exercise Referral Specialist Instructor – Communities

Play a key role in the delivery of KAL’s programme of specialist exercise to people with long term health conditions and those who need additional support to become physically active
To conduct appropriate health assessments as required in line with the scheme criteria
Maintain excellent relationships with key partners from across primary and secondary care, along with the community and voluntary sector

An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Disclosure (DBS) is required for this post. A conviction will not exclude a candidate but will be considered as part of the overall recruitment process.
