Do you want to use your professional skills and lived experiences to help grassroots sports clubs and community groups impact their communities through sport and physical activity?
By helping them to overcome challenges, become better equipped for the future, and tackle inequality in sport, you’ll help the coaches and deliverers do what they do best – make a difference to the lives of those they serve.
Most of our roles are flexible and work around your schedule and we do our best to only share opportunities we think are relevant to you. With most of our volunteering support being delivered digitally, it’s even easier to get started supporting members across our network.
Do you have two years of professional experience or lived experience that would be relevant and valuable to the running of a grassroots sports club?
Some of the areas where our groups are most in need include:
Business & Strategic Planning
Facilities Management & Asset Transfer
Financial Management
Fundraising & Income Generation
Governance
Evaluation & Impact Measurement
This is not an exhaustive list and many of our groups simply benefit from having an experience, external voice to use as a sounding board to help improve the way they run.
If you have something you want to offer and a passion to help local clubs and groups unleash grassroots sport, then we’d love for you to join our team.
Our volunteers support in a variety of ways:
One-off support – Kickstarts are semi-structured, informal chats to learn more about a group’s strengths and challenges, and recommend a course of action,
Volunteer support – Focused on one topic area or specific challenges,
Volunteer placements – Placements span a series of months and encompass multiple topics, or a single complex subject,
Specific project work,
Facilitating/delivering webinars and training,
Supporting Sported itself plus much more!
