We are excited to recruit a Sports Centre Duty Manager to join our LSBU Active team and support the day-to-day operation of our sports and fitness facilities at the Southwark Campus. LSBU Active offers fantastic facilities and a wide range of services for students, staff, and the community. We aim to inspire the development of our students and wider community through sport and physical activity. Please note: this role was previously advertised under the title “Facility Manager,” which will still appear in the Candidate Pack and job description. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Duty Manager to join our team and gain valuable, transferable skills. You’ll take on key responsibilities including “manager on duty” supervision and opening/closing the facility. You’ll have the chance to build skills in facility management by supporting continuous service improvement through internal and external audits: Ensuring consistent health and safety compliance Contributing to income and occupancy targets Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) Working with senior managers to deliver a high quality customer experience. About You We’re looking for someone who brings energy, professionalism, and a passion for sport and physical activity. You will have: Experience working in a leisure or sports environment A strong commitment to delivering first-class customer service Relevant experience acting as manager on duty Knowledge of health and safety legislation in a sport setting Appropriate first aid knowledge/qualifications You’ll be passionate about the positive impact sport and physical activity can have on individuals and communities.
